Travis Scott is busy! After engaged on a bunch of Air Jordans (just like the AJ1 Low ‘Canary’) and dropping his personal signature Jumpman mannequin, the Houston rapper simply unveiled the Travis Scott x Nike Shark-A-Don ‘Sail’—an all-new silhouette that is truly a mash-up of two not-so-new sneakers.
First teased all the best way again in September, the Shark-A-Don is about to be Scott’s second authentic sneaker after the Jumpman Jack made its massive debut earlier this 12 months. Unwrapped in a clear ‘Sail’ colorway, it incorporates a leather-and-suede construct with a mesh strap that wraps across the entrance of the shoe. An outsized pull tab hits the heel, whereas the basic Swoosh emblem shoots throughout the lateral and medial sidewalls.
In case you did not know already, the design of the uppers (sans the strap) has been swiped straight from the Nike Shark of the Nineties. That’s not all that is been borrowed, although, because the Utopia artist additionally dove into the archives for the beefy midsole, taken from the Air Zoom Spiridon circa 1997. Shark + Spiridon = Shark-A-Don. Math!
The Shark-A-Don is completed off with the Grammy nominee’s Cactus Jack emoji on the heel. All of this comes packed in a special-edition shoebox created completely for this collab.
