CREEDE, COLO.: Creede Repertory Theatre (CRT) has named Emily Van Fleet their new creative director. Van Fleet will be part of the theatre on August third.
“I’ve recognized Emily for over a decade as a collaborator, good friend, and fellow parent-artist,” CRT managing director Morgan Manfredi mentioned in an announcement. “She involves this place with a protracted historical past and deep love for CRT and our group. I’m thrilled to welcome one other multi-talented lady to our employees and work intently together with her towards Creede Rep’s shiny future.”
Van Fleet has been a member of the CRT performing firm since 2012 and directed CRT’s 2018 manufacturing of The Wizard of Oz. Her regional performing and directing credit embody the Arvada Heart, Colorado Shakespeare Pageant, the Denver Heart for the Performing Arts, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Pageant, and Little Theatre of the Rockies, amongst others. Van Fleet holds a BA in musical theatre from the College of Northern Colorado.
“I knew from my very first season as an organization member that I needed to be part of CRT’s future,” Van Fleet mentioned in an announcement. “I’m thrilled to be ushering CRT into this subsequent part and look ahead to constructing lasting relationships with its patrons and group by entertaining, creative, and provoking storytelling.”
Van Fleet will exchange Kate Berry, who has served as CRT’s interim creative director since final October, when longtime chief John DiAntonio left to steer Utah Shakespeare Pageant. Berry will proceed as advertising and marketing director.
Creede Repertory Theatre is a creative residence for the agricultural group of Creede, Colo. and past. CRT is dedicated to being a haven for creative excellence, belonging, and intrinsic pleasure. As of 2021, the theatre had a price range of roughly $1.8 million.
