GLENDALE, CALIF.: Antaeus Theatre Firm has named Nike Doukas their new inventive director. Doukas will succeed present inventive director Invoice Brochtrup in September.
“It has been an actual honor to guide Antaeus by way of regular progress for over a dozen years,” Brochtrup mentioned in a press release. “Nike is the right individual to guide Antaeus to the subsequent stage. She has beautiful inventive style, a dedication to the Firm’s imaginative and prescient, and the tenacity and know-how to get the job completed.”
Doukas is a former firm member of the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) and is a present firm member at Antaeus. As an actor, she has carried out with South Coast Repertory Theatre, the Outdated Globe, Pasadena Playhouse, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and the PICT Classical Theatre, amongst others. She made her Los Angeles directorial debut at Antaeus with The Hothouse, which garnered 10 Ovation Award nominations and 4 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards. Different directing credit embrace A Noise Inside, North Coast Rep, and Playwright’s Area, amongst others. Doukas holds an MFA from ACT.

Brochtrup will step away after serving as inventive director since 2012.
