Police in Oregon put the case collectively, piece by piece … all main to an enormous LEGO bust the place a toy retailer proprietor’s accused of shopping for LEGOs stolen from his rivals.
Here is the deal … the Springfield Police Division says a 3-month investigation uncovered proof Ammon Henrikson, the proprietor of Brick Builders toy retailer in Eugene, was knowingly buying new, unopened Lego units that had been stolen from native retail shops.

Cops say a raid on Brick Builders recovered greater than $200,000 price of the stolen toys. In complete, police say over 4,000 stolen LEGO units have been discovered within the retailer.
And, get this … cops say thieves have been promoting the LEGO units to the shop for a fraction of the retail worth, and allegedly utilizing the cash to show round and purchase unlawful medicine for private use.
SPD says they partnered with loss prevention investigators from Goal, Walmart, Barnes & Noble and Fred Meyer to substantiate the LEGO thefts.

In interviews with a few of the suspects, cops say they have been instructed staff on the toy retailer knew the LEGO units have been stolen.
As we beforehand reported … there’s an exploding black marketplace for stolen LEGOs in California, with thieves going to nice lengths to steal the toys straight out of retail shops. The stolen items are being offered on-line and at swap meets.
Appears the issue just isn’t confined to SoCal.
