Between 1970 and 1972, Hatch performed Phil Brent on All My Youngsters, and later that decade, he moved into primetime with a starring position within the unique Battlestar Galactica. Hatch, who died in 2017, finally did return to daytime, nonetheless, with a 1990 stint on the cleaning soap Santa Barbara.
