The Chicago trio Dehd doubles down on their daring, indie-surf, punk sound on their newest album, Poetry. Many of the writing got here courtesy of an enormous street journey the band took, splitting writing between their residence base in Chicago; bassist and co-vocalist Emily Kempf’s residence in Taos; and even a go to to the Pacific Northwest.
At this time, we welcome Dehd again to World Cafe for a mini-concert. The band, that includes Kempf, guitarist Jason Balla and drummer Eric McGrady, sound implausible taking part in songs from Poetry. Get pleasure from.
